The Washington-Idaho Operating Engineers Trust Funds were established to provide medical and retirement benefits and apprenticeship training for their eligible members and their dependents through the collective bargaining process.

2018 Claim Processing Change Effective June 1, 2019

Health and Security Trust Fund

As you know, Welfare & Pension Administration Service, Inc. (WPAS) became the new Administrator for the Washington-Idaho Operating Engineers-Employers Health and Security Trust Fund effective January 1, 2019. WPAS has been processing medical and dental claims for all claims incurred on or after January 1, 2019. Zenith has been processing claims with a date of service of December 31, 2018 and prior.

Effective June 1, 2019, all claims, dental, Medicare medical, retiree prescription drug, and self-paid medical claims, regardless of date of service, should now be directed to WPAS, Inc. at the following address:

New Administrator Effective January 1, 2019

Effective January 1, 2019, Welfare & Pension Administration Service, Inc. (WPAS) has been selected as the new Administrator for the Washington Idaho Operating Engineers-Employers Trust Funds (the “Funds”). WPAS will assume responsibility for processing contributions and reconciling payments among other duties determined by the Board of Trustees. All participants covered by the Funds have been notified of the change in administration offices.
